J. Alan Reid, Jr. is a seasoned public-company executive, fintech entrepreneur, and investment industry leader with expertise in asset management, real estate investment oversight, governance, capital markets, and shareholder engagement.
Mr. Reid previously served as President and Chief Executive Officer of several Gordon Getty-controlled asset management firms, including Forward Management, ReFlow Management, Sierra Club Mutual Funds, and Sutton Place Management. During his tenure, assets under management grew from approximately $70 million to more than $7 billion, including over $3 billion in real estate-related investments.
He is also Co-Founder of iconik, a fintech company focused on automated proxy voting and shareholder engagement technology designed to modernize shareholder participation.
Mr. Reid’s governance experience includes serving on the Board of Trustees for Forward Funds, the Board of Directors of FOLIOfn, and the Board of Governors of the Investment Company Institute. Earlier in his career, he held leadership roles at Dean Witter/Morgan Stanley and MSOnline, supporting the firm’s early digital transformation initiatives.
