David Schweikert is serving his fifth term in the United States Congress. He holds a seat on the Ways and Means Committee, having previously served on the Financial Services Committee. He also sits on the bicameral Joint Economic Committee, Co-Chairs the Valley Fever Task force with House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, is the Republican Co-Chair of the Blockchain Caucus, Co-Chair of the Tunisia Caucus, and Co-Chair of the Tele Health Caucus.
Among his legislative accomplishments, David was instrumental in authoring and passing H.R. 6 the SUPPORT for Patients and Communities Act and the JOBS ACT into law. David included a bill for H.R. 6, also commonly referred to as the 'Opioid Package', to establish a prior authorization standard in Medicare. This bill was signed by the President in 2018. The JOBS Act was signed by the President in April 2012. David has also been a key player in both Healthcare and Financial Services. In November of 2017 David's legislation, H.R. 1585, was passed unanimously through the House expanding the definition of "accredited investor" to include professional experts, bringing in a larger number of sophisticated investors into the marketplace. He also played a major role in the healthcare discussions of 2017 with his amendment Establishing a Federal Invisible Risk Sharing Program.
A national leader on tribal policy, David draws on a unique background working with Arizona’s tribal communities on important priorities.
As a strong advocate for efficiencies in the 21st Century economy, David collaborates with entrepreneurs and innovators in Arizona and around the world on ways to increase trade and drive economic growth. David has long championed technological innovations as the solution to the problems of over-burdensome government regulations.
David holds a seat on the Tax Policy Subcommittee and Trade Policy Subcommittee on the House Ways and Means Committee, where he is able to use his expertise in finance and tax policy to lend his voice towards pressing issues such as meaningful tax reform and reducing trade barriers for U.S. businesses.
John Giles was elected the 40th Mayor of Mesa, Arizona in August, 2014. He was re-elected in August 2016 and began his first full four-year term in January 2017. Mayor Giles is committed to taking Mesa to the next level with his NextMesa vision.
Mayor Giles has overseen a growing economy that added thousands of new jobs, new employers like Apple and Textron Aviation and over $1.5 billion in new capital investment. He is bringing renewed focus and attention to Mesa’s downtown resulting in a budding creative economy with new businesses, education and entertainment options.
Giles is a proud member of the Mayor’s Challenge to End Veterans Homelessness. Mesa's program has housed more than 120 homeless vets.
Recognizing these efforts and more, Money.com, a subsidiary of Time Magazine, named Mesa the best big city in the Southwest.
Born and raised in Mesa, Mayor Giles earned degrees from Brigham Young University in Political Science and Arizona State University’s Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law and has managed his own law firm in downtown Mesa for more than 20 years. Mayor Giles is an active marathoner and triathlete who has completed two full Ironman competitions, 20 marathons and four Boston Marathons. Mayor Giles and his wife Dawn have been married for more than thirty years. They have five children and eight grandchildren.
Mr. Nasr is a veteran of the industry. He has over thirty years of experience in retail broker-dealer and investment management operations and accounting. His extensive experience in asset management and advisory business includes building and managing systems and processes, as well as developing asset management products. He was the CFO at PMC (Portfolio Management Consultants, Inc.) which is now Envestnet Asset Management, and CFO at Orbitex Financial Services, Inc.
In 2005, while the Managing Director of Brookstreet Capital Management, Mr. Nasr created a unique and sought-after integrated portfolio management platform. Mr. Nasr’s visionary system and excellent service model have resulted in a high degree of loyalty and following from advisors and employees. In 2007, he joined National Asset Management (NAM) as a consultant and later became its President and CEO. There he designed and oversaw the development of its state-of-the-art AdvisorGuide platform, and managed all aspects of NAM’s operations
Mr. Hill has over thirty years of experience in the financial services arena, and as an entrepreneur based in Scottsdale Arizona. Mr. Hill has spent time as a financial consultant, and advisor, a corporate business development/national strategic partnership executive, private equity investor, real estate investor/developer and a venture capitalist.
Mr. Hill’s corporate experience consist of spending 15 years working within the corporate business development area on a national basis for Nationwide Insurance, a Fortune 100 company, and GE Capital Services, as Vice President of Strategic Partnership and Development. During those years, Mr. Hill created many partnerships with the largest financial institutions in the country. These partnerships have accounted for Billions of dollars in sales and have created significant value for both partners. Many of the products that were created during that time are still in use and being sold at some of the top brokerages in the country. Mr. Hill also worked as a vice president of business development for LPL Financial and Folio Institutional/Folio Investing most recently. Along with building the RIA distribution channel for a national IMO, Shurwest.
Mr. Hill is happily married to his wife Kyla, recently celebrating their 7th anniversary. They are parents to a wonderful six year old girl. Mr. Hill is active in his daughters’ school and sporting teams. He is also an avid golfer, hiker and proud pack member with the families 4 dogs!
Marc Schultz's practice is concentrated in federal, local and state taxation matters, including complex transactions involving corporate, limited liability companies, limited partnerships, tax exempt entities, and real property. Marc currently chairs Snell & Wilmer’s Tax Credit Finance Group and Renewable Energy Group and founded and co-chairs the firm's Opportunity Zones and Funds Industry Group.
Marc has represented investors, developers, and syndicators with respect to Low-Income Housing Tax Credit transactions, and has represented numerous parties with respect to New Markets Tax Credits, Historic Tax Credits and Renewable Energy. Marc is a regular speaker and panelist on the subject of tax credit finance and has written numerous articles and has been quoted in publications with respect to these subject areas. Marc is currently representing investors, fund sponsors and developers with respect to the Opportunity Zone Program. He has an established practice involving mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, formation of private investment funds, like-kind exchanges, and tenancy-in-common transactions. He has also served as an adjunct professor, teaching taxation of business entities in the Graduate Program of Accountancy, at the University of Illinois-Chicago. Marc served on the Board of Directors for the Arizona Housing Finance Authority, as an appointment by Arizona Governor Doug Ducey.
Frank Heavlin began his 40-year career in the hotel industry in 1976 with the Marriott Corporation. In his 13 years at Marriott, he held various positions culminating with Corporate Food & Beverage Director. Frank then joined the Walt Disney Company where he worked for three years as Corporate Director of Operations/Food & Beverage and was responsible for overall concept development and hotel/non-park operations. Foremost in his accomplishments at Disney were the openings of the Five-Star Grand Floridian Hotel, Pleasure Island, Caribbean Beach, Typhoon Water Park, and his contribution as a member of the Concept and Development Team for Euro-Disney. Frank has also worked at Interstate Hotel Corporation where he was initially a General Manager and subsequently was promoted to Corporate Director of Operations.
Frank created Heavlin Management Company (HMC) in 1991 when he acquired the Five Star restaurant, The Coach and Six, located in Buck Head Atlanta. During his five years of ownership he was successful in obtaining the coveted D'RONA Award for three years in a row, including 3 Five-Star, Five-Diamond Awards from AAA. The Coach and Six was sold, and HMC stayed dormant during the time Frank was with the Davidson Hotel Company. Frank was the Senior Vice President of Operations for Davidson Hotel Company. He oversaw three Regional Vice Presidents, Vice President of Sales & Marketing and the Vice President Food & Beverage. He successfully managed 30 full service hotels and resorts.
Frank joined Sunstone Hotel Properties, Inc. in May of 2001 as Regional Vice President of Operations for the Rochester portfolio re-development. This group of hotels had a 32% increase in value in just twenty four months. In 2004 Frank reopened HMC at the request of Bob Alter from Sunstone Hotels. Bob's request was for HMC to operate the San Marcos Resort in Chandler, Arizona, as Sunstone Hotels had decided to eliminate several hotels when they were applying to Wall Street for a REIT. From 2004 until 2010 HMC built a portfolio of five hotels, which included Crowne Plaza San Marcos, Chandler, AZ; Sheraton Four Points, Tempe, AZ; Days Inn, Tempe, AZ; Marriott Residence and Marriott Springhill Suites. On November 13, 2012, HMC started a new venture with the purchase of the Crowne Plaza Phoenix Airport Hotel and has since continued to grow the HMC portfolio.
Darlene Heavlin, in her present position of Executive Vice President for Heavlin Management Company is responsible for all revenues and Sales & Marketing for all HMC assets. Darlene has an excellent resume and has worked for some of the most premier management companies in the US. Some of Darlene's previous positions include the National Director of Business Development for Sun Stone Hotels; she was instrumental in developing the new national sales program for Sunstone Hotels, which led them to a public offering in 2004. Prior to Sunstone Hotel Properties, Inc. she worked with the Rochester Convention & Visitors Bureau. Preceding the CVB position she worked for Davidson Hotel Company as Regional Director of Sales & Marketing directly responsible for the Sales & Marketing efforts for fifteen of the company's full service hotels and resorts. Darlene worked directly with the sales and catering staffs implementing proper training procedures and overseeing sales efforts to ensure revenue maximization. Prior to joining Davidson, Darlene worked for eight years with Interstate Hotels as Sales Manager and Director of Group Sales for the Minneapolis Marriott, Corpus Christi Marriott, Pittsburgh Green Tree Marriott, and the Cincinnati Marriott.
In 2004 HMC took over the management of the San Marcos Golf Resort and reflagged the hotel to a Crowne Plaza, which Darlene was responsible for the re-branding, Sales & Marketing. She also performed as Hotel Manager for Crowne Plaza San Marcos, in addition to supporting other HMC managed properties. November 13, 2012, HMC started a new venture and purchased the Crowne Plaza Phoenix Airport. Darlene served as General Manager for two years elevating the Crowne Plaza Phoenix Airport to the highest tier of quality in the top 10 Crowne Plazas in the United States.
Mark Barone is a certified public accountant (CPA) licensed in the state of Arizona, having over twenty years of direct professional experience. After graduating from the University of Iowa, Mark began his career in Chicago working for two of the Big 4 accounting firms, KPMG and Deloitte and Touche specializing in corporate tax. After relocating to Arizona with Deloitte and Touche Mark decided shortly thereafter to join a mid-size firm in Phoenix not only to further his career goals but to give him the opportunity to work with small businesses and high net worth individuals.
Slightly over five years ago, Mark fulfilled his dream of starting his own accounting and tax practice, Barone CPA, with a wide array of client services ranging from bookkeeping to tax planning. Mark is also a seasoned real estate investor who spends a great deal of time working on real estate related entities. He has a very intricate knowledge of the different Caliber investment vehicles and the potential tax implications not only as it relates to himself as a long time investor but for those investors who have also chosen this investment path.

Nate is Colorado native who spent half his life in Oregon wondering where the sun went. A graduate of Willamette University, oldest west of the Mississippi, he paid exorbitant tuition to play football, run track and receive a first-class education wholly unnecessary for a career in insurance. He now resides in Highlands Ranch, CO with his wife and three children wondering where the ocean went.
Tom has specialized in Personal Insurance for over 25 years across the US. Jumping at the chance to join Chubb in 2000, he has since been primarily focused on business development opportunities across the Rocky Mountain West.
Additionally, Tom spent 3 years managing a national underwriting team in Chubb’s New Jersey home office. In that role, Tom developed a perspective which informs his risk management views to this day.
Much of Chubb’s business strategy is formed through grassroots dialogue with the constellation of advisors to the High Net Worth community. As such, Tom spends a great deal of time with these opinion leaders. A graduate of Northwestern University, Tom and his family make their home in Evergreen, Colorado. He is an avid fisherman, mountain biker, golfer and trail runner. He is also an Eagle Scout.
Chris Loeffler is Co-Founder and CEO of Caliber. As CEO, Chris is responsible for oversight of acquisitions, strategic relationships and investment services including fund manager for Caliber’s private investment funds. With Loeffler at the helm, he has created an avenue offering investors direct access to build wealth through a diversified portfolio of commercial, hospitality and residential real estate assets. His leadership and forward-thinking innovation has helped Caliber to emerge as a full-service real estate investment firm with a private equity portfolio valued at over $400 million in assets under management across the Southwest.
Loeffler is actively involved in Arizona’s civic/government/business community, serving as a member of Greater Phoenix Leadership and sharing insight into ways businesses can raise capital using Regulation A+.
Loeffler began his career as an auditor for PriceWaterhouseCoopers, LLP developing the Company’s business systems and received a BA in Accounting from California Polytechnic San Luis Obispo.
Jennifer Schrader, Caliber’s Co-Founder, plays a vital role in day to day affairs serving as both the company’s President and Chief Operating Officer. Mrs. Schrader Co-Founded Caliber in 2009, during one of the worst financial crisis’ in history, and has worked diligently to rapidly grow Caliber in to a leading option for Alternative Real Estate Investments in the Southwest.
With over 15 years of Real Estate experience, Mrs. Schrader is a hands-on leader who spearheads the development, communication, and scaling of the company’s five operating businesses: Investment, Construction & Development, Property Management, Brokerage, and Hospitality. Working alongside Caliber’s Executive Committee, Mrs. Schrader heads the curation of successful investment strategies for incoming properties, and furthermore works to implement and modify each strategy as market conditions change. Mrs. Schrader also oversees the day-to-day business of the firm, ensuring that all other aspects of the organization remain successful in competitivity, coordination, and operating processes, while also providing leadership and management that mirrors the company’s exceptional core values and mission.
Preceding Mrs. Schrader’s current role, she served as the Designated Broker for Caliber Realty, both overseeing daily functions as well as implementing an innovative internal system to manage the purchase and sales of over $50,000,000 in successful investment properties. Prior to co-founding Caliber, Schrader extensively studied Architecture and Design - her knowledge has proven to further enhance her ability to oversee operations. Through hands-on contributions, Mrs. Schrader commands impressive renovations and operations of assets that can be seen throughout Caliber’s investment portfolio. This direct involvement in turn has produced numerous of the highly sought-after, cash flowing assets in which allow the company, and clients, to thrive.
Mrs. Schrader is an active member of the National Association of Realtors as well as the Scottsdale and Arizona Association of Realtors. Her avid involvement in the industry and exceptional entrepreneurial skills has made an impressive impact on the local community which has not gone unnoticed, earning her a spot on Arizona Business’s “Most Influential Women” list and “Influential Millennial” title, as well as landing on ALM Media’s “50 under 40”.
A seasoned executive with diverse finance and operational experience within domestic and international growth companies, Jade leads corporate financial planning, reporting, operational analysis and optimization, and treasury/risk management across Caliber’s five business units: Investment, Construction & Development, Property Management, Brokerage and Hospitality. Prior to joining Caliber in 2015, Jade served in several management roles during his fourteen-year tenure with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), the international financial services firm, where he led audit and accounting advisory engagements for some of the firm’s top 50 global public and private companies. During that time, he managed domestic and foreign Initial and Secondary Public Offerings helping companies raise over $2 Billion in capital and debt. As CFO, Jade focuses on financial strength, governance and transparency to ensure Caliber is well-positioned to bolster both short and long-term goals of greater efficiencies, profitability and growth, particularly as the company continue down the strategic path and pursuit of a public offering. Prior to being named Caliber CFO, Jade, a Certified Public Accountant, served as Caliber Vice President of Finance led the execution and oversight of the company’s new financial reporting infrastructure, managed the lengthy external audit process and implemented best practices instrumental for achieving the company’s strategic growth plan.
Since starting with Caliber in 2014, Mr. Bade has served as the Executive Vice President of Commercial Acquisitions and Development. Within this capacity, Mr. Bade is directly responsible for the critical role of sourcing and analyzing potential properties, maximizing returns on existing properties, and overseeing all aspects of construction and development at Caliber.
Prior to joining Caliber, Mr. Bade accumulated over 30 years of experience in Arizona and has built an impressive resume through operating construction and development companies that have completed over $200 Million in developed real estate. In addition, Mr. Bade has proven his extensive knowledge through the successful development of dozens of projects including multi-family, retail centers, mini storage, industrial complexes, office buildings, and medical complexes. Coinciding with his desirable background in ground-up development, Mr. Bade has completed several hundred tenant improvements from a standard office build out to complex medical surgery centers, making him the ideal fit for handling Calibers diverse portfolio of assets.
After graduating from Washington State University in 1984 with a degree in Business Computer Systems, Roy received his Commercial General Contractor’s license in 1986 and his AZ Real Estate Broker’s license in 1988. Mr. Bade has worked actively with many cities development departments, including current ongoing involvement with the Arizona cities of Mesa, Scottsdale, and Tucson as well as spearheading partnerships with local government in Colorado, for future developments. Mr. Bade’s impressive community involvement and in depth understanding of both construction and development has not only served as a great benefit to Caliber, but has also caught the attention of external resources, as he was recently appointed Chairman for Peoria’s Design Standards Advisor Board as well as their Construction Board of Appeals.
Serving as Managing Director of Wealth Development, Mr. Okamoto is directly responsible for the oversight of Investment activities across the firm’s target markets. He heads the successful execution of fundraising campaigns, serves as a member of the executive team to manage business development and partnerships, and, spearheads the capital raising efforts within the Firm.
As a Senior Sales Leadership professional with over 13 years of experience driving capital raising efforts at multiple firms in various industries, Mr. Okamoto has built an extensive understanding of numerous aspects of corporate finance and investing, including consultative sales, investor relations, networking and relationship building, and public stock offerings.
With an unrivaled background, Mr. Okamoto has made a heavy contribution during his 3-year tenure with Caliber. Within this time, Mr. Okamoto has lead Caliber’s capital raising efforts, guiding his team to complete more than $75M+ in investments, while also working closely to service the Firms investor base.
Prior to joining Caliber, Mr. Okamoto spent his career raising millions of dollars in capital for Hedge Funds, publicly traded companies, and Venture Capital deals - most recently, working in FinTech in Silicon Valley. His proven ability to manage, strong understanding and experience with investments, and elaborate background in Capital Markets has proven to serve as a substantial asset as Caliber continues to pursue public markets.
Mr. Okamoto frequently shares his knowledge with individual investors by hosting Caliber’s Capital Markets Call, and, his expertise has made him a frequent speaker on real estate investment panels and podcasts both internally and externally.
In addition to Mr. Okamoto’s strong Sales background, he also holds his bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Southern California, and, has held Series 7, 63, and 65 FINRA licenses.
As one of the “original 7” at Caliber Wealth Development, Thomas Bade specializes in working with investors in the allocation of real estate to their portfolios. Tom began his career in the real estate industry in 1978, and has a long and varied background in the sale of “institutional-level”, commercial real estate, including Multi Family, Hospitality, Office, Retail, Industrial, Land, and Self-Storage properties. Prior to joining Caliber, Tom was a commercial real estate agent and wealth advisor with several nationally known firms, where he worked in the fields of financial planning and investment sales. He was also a registered principal and investment advisor for National Bank of Arizona, Dain Rauscher and Prudential Securities for a period of fourteen years, where he received recognition as Rookie of the Year, Broker of the Year and Manager of the year. Tom is active in the Phoenix community and has served as a director of valley charitable and cultural organizations including Faith House, A New Leaf, West Valley Child Crisis Center, Northwest Valley YMCA, and the Arizona Leadership Caucus.
Ms. Calvert is leading the northwest expansion of Caliber’s Private Client Group and reports directly to Caliber CEO and Co-Founder, Chris Loeffler. Ms. Calvert is creating partnerships with accredited Investors who are looking for direct ownership of real estate, and exclusive access to structured ‘middle market’ projects and private funds typically only available to institutional investors through Caliber’s position within the marketplace. Caliber Wealth Development is a fully integrated, full service real estate investment firm.
Ms. Calvert spent the last 15 years in angel capital and led a team involved in capital raises totaling more than $300 Million, yet believes the access, co-investment, tax benefits, and diversity of portfolios at Caliber to be her clients greatest opportunity.
Sherry is an active member of her community and remains an advocate for Veterans after spending 8 years in the U.S. Army active and reserve duty where Sherry held a top-secret clearance. After her distinguished military career Sherry utilized her electronic engineering degree with positions at Spacelabs Medical, Zetron, Honeywell, Boeing, Solectron, and Qualitel. Sherry acted as the Washington Council Director of Membership Development for the American Electronics Association (AEA).
She went on to be the co-founder and President of Keiretsu Forum Northwest. Based in Seattle, Washington. Sherry led Keiretsu Forum Northwest to top performing chapter in the world in the largest global private equity investment network. Keiretsu Forum Northwest represents 6 of the 53 international chapters with over 460 members of the 2000+.
Most prior to Ms. Calvert’s tenure with Caliber she served as a Managing Partner at Arch River Capital Group, formerly known as Malidan Capital. In addition to this role Sherry also sat as a Chairperson on the Investment Review Committee and was head of Investor Management for the Frontier Performance Fund I LLC. Her primary role was to introduce the various investment activities of the Fund to the private non-institutional investment community in the United States, Canada and Europe.
Sherry remains actively involved in her community as an active member of Seattle 4 Rotary, the largest Rotary in the country, serving as part of the International Service Committee, their Mentorship Program and the Boys and Girls Club. She supports several charities like The Seal Future Fund, St Judes, The Seattle Film School and Seattle Public Theatre, in addition to many others.
She has been featured in many publications, including the most recent Book “Overcoming Roadblocks to Success”. She is admired for her service to her country, her dedication to her community, and her commitment to helping those around her. Sherry strives to ease the transition from military to civilian life through her efforts with Work of Honor and Hire America’s Heroes and the Seal Future Fund.
For over a decade, Brion Crum has been advising early stage, high growth potential companies involved in hospitality, real estate, software, IT, clean tech, nanotechnology, biotechnology, renewable energy, mobile technology and non-profit endeavors.
One of these high growth companies is Caliber: The Wealth Development Company. Brion is the VP of Wealth Development where his primarily role is to raise capital and drive revenue and profitability to all business units and increase shareholder value for their investors.
Brion has been developing and strengthening relationships with our clients, strategic partners, investors, economic developers, community based organizations and non-profits.
Brion is a member of Phoenix Green Chamber of Commerce, Urban Land Institute, a prior ambassador at GPEC and founding advisory board of the Eliances entrepreneurship community which allows him to leverage these resources on efforts that will make Arizona a better place to live and do business.
Enrico Sanchez is an Associate Vice President who works as a part of Caliber’s wealth development team. Sanchez’s main goal is to build relationships with accredited Investors who are looking for alternative investments with real estate by providing strategies for income, growth, and balanced investment allocations. In addition to this Sanchez also aids strategic business development and marketing efforts to Caliber assets.
Prior to Caliber, Sanchez was an analyst for a local venture capital firm and completed due diligence on multimillion dollar investments. Additionally, he was a serial entrepreneur who had multiple successful businesses including a full-service digital agency and a tech startup. Sanchez has been featured on the Epic Real Estate podcast and plans to align with more public relation efforts.
Sanchez is currently obtaining his bachelors at Grand Canyon University in Finance and Economics where he has assisted the collegiate entrepreneur club and served as a lead analyst for Canyon Angels – an Angel Investor Group formed by Grand Canyon University that invests in local startups.
Additionally, in 2018, Sanchez started a 501(C)(3) nonprofit - The Athletic Opportunity Fund. This nonprofit provides funding to talented underprivileged athletes to help them attend college ID camps to gain exposure to college recruiters.
Sanchez, has two golden retrievers and enjoys reading business-oriented books. His favorites include; How to Win Friends and Influence People, Think and Grow Rich, Rich Dad - Poor Dad, and The Magic of Thinking Big.
Lisa Pudewell began her real estate career in Oregon as a residential appraiser. She moved to Arizona in 2009 bringing with her experience in valuating property. In 2011, Lisa joined Caliber and has since then successfully completed over hundreds of transactions. She is instrumental in Caliber expanding its realty division from buying foreclosures at trustee sales, to flipping higher end homes & developing new subdivisions. As Vice President of Real Estate Assets, she is responsible for managing all residential acquisitions through the company's various real estate platforms, including buying bulk portfolios, working with various community redevelopment programs & buying distressed/wholesale properties. She is actively involved in building upon Caliber's 360º vertically integrated approach to buying, selling, renovating, and investing in real estate by her participation in all asset class acquisitions including multi-family, office/commercial, self-storage and hospitality. As an innovator in building wealth development in real estate, Lisa is co-manager of the Caliber Residential Advantage Fund (www.caliberadvantage.com) -- a private equity real estate fund, aimed at alleviating the management challenges of owning residential/multi-family investments. The $100M perpetual fund acquires, renovates, rents and manages a diversified portfolio of single-family homes, townhomes, condominiums, plexes & small apartments. Lisa's appraisal experience is extremely valuable to Caliber and its investors. Properties have little variability (less than 2-3%) to what she estimates they will rent/sell for from acquisition to actual rental/sale. Lisa was awarded "Team Member of the Year" for 2012 at Caliber. She has a Bachelor's degree in Business Marketing and holds an active real estate license in the state of Arizona.
Chris has been with Caliber Development since April 2016 and has been an incredible asset to the Construction Team. Chris grew up in Kennewick, Washington and has over 30 years’ experience in construction, including big box retails, remodels, roadways, dams, nuclear, and military construction projects. While in Washington he was a PM at Apollo Construction, which was the largest construction company in eastern Washington. He moved to Arizona in 2000 where he continued his work running BCS Development Group, LLC which had significant developments in the medical and office markets as well as retail, industrial and mini-storage markets. In 2009, he worked on several large restoration projects in both residential and commercial facilities. A couple of years later he became the PM for Campbell Construction where he led regional projects across the Southwestern United States. Now as part of the Caliber Team, Chris spearheads all Construction projects including hospitality, restaurant, office, multi-family and townhome construction, residential re-models and new builds. Chris oversees a team of Project Managers, Superintendents and Maintenance Technicians.
With over 30 years of real estate experience, Riley comes to Caliber with acquisition, development and investment experience with National and Global powerhouses across the United States. His career has been marked by innovation and creativity in marketing and investment strategies and an understanding of financing alternatives, tax implications and he has a demonstrated ability to evaluate property value and market trends to assure project feasibility, risk management, maximized investment return and optimal utilization of commercial and residential properties. Riley has been involved in the field from infrastructure planning and construction to the development and acquisition of new and the redevelopment of suburban and CBD structures as well as considerable experience in the planning and development of highly amenitized mixed-use master planned communities.
Rodney and his wife Jill are ever-present in the Phoenix social and charitable scenes giving their time to many causes and boards. Rodney is currently Chairman of the Board for the Florence Crittenton Society of Arizona. Riley attended the University of Tennessee on a baseball scholarship, is an accomplished cyclist and a professional racing instructor for Porsche North America.
Jeff Mast is a resourceful commercial real estate professional with more than 25 years of experience managing commercial development projects, profitable property acquisitions and dispositions, and complex financial transactions. In addition, Jeff is a Certified Public Accountant that is highly skilled in corporate and divisional financial management and portfolio management. His experience in negotiation and relationship-building has led him to forge strong bonds with brokers, business partners, lenders and clients, making him an irreplaceable asset to the Caliber team. While he currently serves as the Vice President of Project Finance and Asset Management he also has strong expertise in Property Acquisition/Disposition, Asset Management, Joint Venture Structuring, Development Financing, Financial Engineering, Budgeting & Forecasting, Capital Stack Structuring, Team Leadership, Performance & Process Improvement, and Relationship Building & Management.
Coulson is Caliber’s Director of Tax and oversees preparation of all investor tax documents, including K-1s and 1099s. He leads corporate tax consulting, compliance, and reporting initiatives for the company. Prior to working at Caliber, Coulson spent 5+ years as a trusted tax advisor with Deloitte in Phoenix. Coulson is a Certified Public Accountant, licensed in Arizona, and is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Arizona Society of CPAs. Coulson and his wife Lisa have three daughters, and his interests include running, reading, and BYU football. Coulson is also fluent in Spanish.
Kyle is Caliber’s Director of Financial Reporting and oversees the coordination and preparation of the financial statements and Securities and Exchange Commission reporting for CaliberCos Inc. and related subsidiaries. In addition, he monitors compliance with Securities and Exchange Commission and Financial Accounting Standards Board rules and regulations, ensures compliance with other reporting requirements across the organization (to lenders, members, regulatory authorities, etc.), works with investor relations team to develop periodic reporting to members, and leads the implementation of reporting applications and processes.
Prior to joining Caliber, Kyle spent five years in public accounting. During his tenure with Ernst & Young (“EY”) in Phoenix, he specialized in real estate and construction. His clientele contained a variety of companies which included publicly traded REITs, publicly traded general contractors, and private real estate funds and joint ventures. After EY, Kyle worked as the financial reporting manager for a publicly traded REIT, who was a large accelerated filer. Kyle is a Certified Public Accountant, licensed in Arizona, and is a member of the American Institute of CPAs.
